Our trip in the spring of 2015 was to be the last trip in our Flair however we didn’t know it at the time. With the family joining us at home for Christmas and New Year and the list of jobs to do not getting any shorter we didn’t get away in our Flair in January for the first time since we bought it. Instead we did work on our house, namely repairing the roof and replacing the driveway gates following severe storms. Our poor Flair sat on the drive looking sorry for itself so we engaged a local cleaning company and treated her to a full valet. In March we flew down to Carcassonne and rented an apartment for a week however the weather was the worst we have experienced in France ever since we started holidaying there.
We have been in the habit of spending a week in Cornwall in our camper during April or May and this year was no different. We loaded up and had an uneventful journey down to Cubert. We stay at a lovely small family run site a couple of miles outside Crantock. We did similar trips as last year with a few new trips thrown in. The lost Gardens of Heligan are not one to miss and it was several years since our last visit so renewing our memories was a must and we were not disappointed.. Over the week we covered some 25 miles walking along the coast paths and consumed several gallons of coffee. The weather could have been better but the company was first class. Our Flair behaved perfectly as expected and although we didn’t know it was to be our last trip in her.
Our Flair has gone to a good home and we hope her new owners have many years of pleasure in her.
