Bonassola is one of the “Cinqueterre” villages north west of La Spezia. Turn off the A12 at the Déiva Marina exit and follow the signs to Bonassola. The last 3kms is steep and narrow with hairpin bends. There are two areas on the Promenade at Bonassola where campers can stay overnight. One, at the right (when facing the sea) is available all year round, but only has about 8 spaces, and one on the left habd end which has lots of space but is only available for overnighters out of season. The services are at the RHS one. This village is at the end of the Cinque Terre and has a good beach, restaurants, etc. It is a long, steep winding descent to the village.Sign at top of hill in Italian and English (telephone number provided) advises to ring ahead and check availability and this is very wise as even in January it can get full at weekends (ok during weekdays) Last 3 kms certainly not suitable for large or high MH’s as several hairpins with few passing places and overhanging trees All the above said it is a pretty and relaxing Sosta. Good headland walk.
