Located inside the town walls and alongside the municipal campsite.  This Aire has room for 17 camper vans but is a little tricky for large outfits and a no-go for those with trailers.  It is enclosed within a fence and has barrier entry.  Cost summer 2014 was €11 per night with a maximum stay of 3 nights (although this limit did not appear to be enforced.

Ils de Re must be one of the best cycle areas for those that don’t like hills.  There are numerous cycle tracks all around the island and you can get to all parts by bike.  There are several oyster bars scattered along the cycle tracks selling snacks, drinks as well as oysters.  Naturally seafood is a speciality on the island.  The harbour at St Martins is well worth a visit with its cafe’s, bars and restaurants surrounding the marina.
